Rabbi Sharon Brous

Rabbi Sharon Brous is the senior and founding rabbi of IKAR, and has devoted her rabbinate to reinvigorating Jewish tradition and practice and advancing soulful, multi-faith justice work in Los Angeles and around the country. Brous’s 2016 TED talk, “Reclaiming Religion,” has been viewed by more than 1.4 million people and translated into 23 languages. In 2013, she blessed President Obama and Vice President Biden at the Inaugural National Prayer Service, and returned in 2021 to bless President Biden and Vice President Harris, and then to lead the White House Passover Seder that spring.

Aliza Kline

Aliza Kline, a dynamic leader and social entrepreneur, collaborated with philanthropists to bring OneTable to life in 2014. A trained coach and design thinking facilitator, Aliza draws on her expertise to shape the vision and innovative culture at OneTable. She is also the founding Executive Director of Mayyim Hayyim Community Mikveh & Education Center and has devoted her career to re-imagining ritual open to the full diversity of the Jewish community.

Rabbi Benay Lappe

Rabbi Benay Lappe is the Founder, President, and Rosh Yeshiva of SVARA: A Traditionally Radical Yeshiva. Ordained by The Jewish Theological Seminary in 1997, she is an award-winning educator specializing in the application of queer theory to Talmud study and has served on the faculties of numerous universities and rabbinical schools. Rabbi Lappe is a recipient of the prestigious Covenant Award for innovative Jewish education and, while learning and teaching Talmud are her greatest passions, Rabbi Lappe is also a shoemaker and patent-holding inventor.

Susan Lubeck

Susan Lubeck is the Director of the Collaborative for Jewish Organizing. Susan has worked in law, policy, and organization development, before landing on community organizing as a powerful modality for building power for justice. She spent a decade with Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, first as their Bay Area Regional Director, and then as their first National Field Director, where she developed and led a team of community organizers and developed field units across the US. She is grateful for discovering Jewish wisdom and practice when she was a young adult. She was raised in southern New Jersey and lives in Oakland, California.

Rabbi Vanessa Ochs

Rabbi Vanessa Ochs, Ph.D., Professor in the University of Virginia Department of Religious Studies and a core member of the Jewish Studies Program teaches such topics as Jewish feminism, Jewish weddings, the Passover Haggadah, spiritual writing, and ethnography. She is Chair of the Professional Consulting Committee: UVA CPE and has been a faculty member of the Bronfman Youth Fellowship. Her books include The Passover Haggadah: A Biography (Princeton University Press, 2020), Inventing Jewish Ritual (winner of a 2007 National Jewish Book Award), Sarah Laughed, The Jewish Dream Book (with Elizabeth Ochs), Words on Fire: One Woman’s Journey into the Sacred, and Safe and Sound: Protecting Your Child In An Unpredictable World. For her writing, she was awarded a Creative Writing Fellowship by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Andrés Spokoiny

Andrés Spokoiny is President and CEO of Jewish Funders Network. He is a longtime Jewish communal leader with a history of leading successful organizational transformations. Andrés served as the CEO of Federation CJA in Montreal and, prior to that, worked for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Community (JDC) in Paris.

Casper ter Kuile

Casper ter Kuile brings new possibilities for spiritual community to life. He's the co-creator of Sacred Design Lab, the hit podcast “Harry Potter and the Sacred Text,” and now The Nearness, a community platform to help people deepen their spiritual lives. Casper is a graduate of Harvard's Kennedy and Divinity Schools and is the author of The Power of Ritual.
