Our Work

As a foundation, we are privileged to identify with and support the movement for Living Torah. We take seriously the role we can play in helping to nurture and accelerate its growth. We plan to do this in a variety of ways — through grant-making, network- and capacity-building, identifying and disseminating principles of effective practice, sharing the vivid stories of those who are part of this endeavor, and being a trusted ally and forceful advocate.

Above all, we seek to be a good partner with others on the journey, learning from them and sharing our insights with them as we go. The movement we are part of is still a work in progress. We want to work with you to shape the content and concepts that define it, to refine its methods and tools, to forge stronger connections among its members, and to enable it to reach broader constituencies.

Our Core Strategies

We have three core strategies:

• • Building a conceptual framework – Collaborate with those who are working on innovative or expanded approaches for extending Living Torah to develop shared language and frameworks.
  • Developing, describing, and disseminating principles of effective practice – Provide targeted financial and consultative support to those engaged in advancing Living Torah to research, develop, test and refine, assess, and disseminate principles of effective programmatic and organizational practice.
  • Supporting the innovation ecosystem– Strengthen a vibrant infrastructure for and culture of Jewish innovation.

Grantees and Proposals

Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah works closely with a select group of grantee partners. At this time, the Foundation is not accepting unsolicited requests or proposals for funding.
