Grace Osborne
Grace is animated by the concept of chiddush (innovation), the sensibility of shevirah (brokenness), and the belief that our most transformational and enduring work happens in relationship with others.
Grace grew up in a multifaith, multicultural, and multiracial family that deeply valued the cultivation of oneself through music, the practice of prayer, the study of scripture, and Jewish ritual.
Grace is a former Fulbright fellow, holds a PhD in Ethnomusicology from New York University, and a BA in Music History & Theory from Mills College. Her professional journey has included working in academia, nonprofit community organizing, and philanthropy. She is passionate about supporting the cultivation of JoC leadership, Jewish Arts and Culture fieldbuilding, and Mussar.
At Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah, Grace advances the Foundation’s efforts to share applied Jewish wisdom teachings and practices with a wide variety of communities in the philanthropic, nonprofit, and public sectors. Her narrative work strives to expand and transform the collective Jewish story by highlighting the work of people and organizations innovating within the tradition.
Grace is based in Los Angeles but can also frequently be found floating around New York City.
